About 20 years ago I was listening to a lot of The Cure, New Order, Jesus Jones and Curve (among many others) and was playing around with .mod files (anyone else remember those?) on my 286 running DOS 5. For some unexplainable reason the feeling and atmosphere in this recording kinda takes me back to that time... but that's entirely personal to me, I guess. Experimental dreampop with breathy, almost ethereal vocals. Not always my cuppa tea, but in this case it works a treat!

I really, really, really like this album for several reasons! First of all and the most important, the music is blissful Dream-Pop and part Surf/Indie Rock, which somehow melts together in a kettle of sound and comes out the other end sounding polished, sexy, and fun! Keep it up, I look forward to the next LP! Once again, all the tracks on here are superb, so it really is a dart throw when it asks me to pick my favorite song.

At their fun live shows, this upstate NY pop-punk duo is extremely energetic and super enthusiastic - lots of jumping and kicking by singer/guitarist Alex Luciano - she must have a spring for a spine.
