Since 2011's "A Plan...A Perfect Disaster" I have been rather busy with the Stars Are Insane project. From contributing a few compilation tracks, a lathe cut 7 inch, re-issuing "The Empty House" in a proper album form, releasing the "Partial History" selected works release, playing the first live show since 2005 and working on a new album called "Pop Industry" it is safe to things are happening. In addition to all of that I have been able to document these four brand new songs to be a part of the Singles Club Cassette Series. Whereas the forthcoming album "Pop Industry" is a document of fuzzed out bedroom pop, this Singles Club cassette is a offering of four sprawling, ambient shoegaze soundscapes. For those who have been following the varied sonic history of Stars Are Insane I find these songs to be a marriage stylistically speaking between "Anonymously Yours" and "9 Untitled Songs" while being new, not solely clinging onto past aesthetics. Limited to 50 cassettes with hand stamped labels and full color, numbered cardstock j cards.
