After years of getting bombarded with really, really awful demos in the less than one month I received two exceptional ones, the first being one from Tereshkova and the second was from Ron Beaudet and both have found homes for their fantastic music here at Rok Lok Records. Ron Beaudet is based out of Worcester, MA and puts an isolated North East stamp on the genre of slacker pop with his full length "Awkward Age". Brimming with pure undeniable pop sensibility layered in reverb, the sounds Beaudet captures on "Awkward Age" is a mix of Beach Fossils, Comet Gain, and Wavves. Songs about longing, being carefree and young and of course, the summer- this a picture perfect indie pop album and I think you'll agree too. Limited to 40 numbered copies and black clam shell home dubbed cassettes with black & white card stock j-cards and stamped labels.
